Should You Ignore the Knowledge that Comes with 'Knowing'?

As I did in my last post, I’ll start by referencing a standard definition of the word in question—this time, knowledge, to get us started.

I like this definition because it taps into so many other relevant themes that you’ll see mentioned throughout this post:

• Awareness

• Familiarity

• Experience

What is it that you are gaining awareness of, exactly? That varies per definition. In some cases, like the one above, one’s awareness would be surrounding a “fact” or “situation.” In other definitions, it could be surrounding a “person,” “subject,” or “field.”

Why didn’t I choose “Awareness” as our second Core Value, when it’s a word that is so closely associated with the self-exploration industry, instead of Knowledge?

Let’s look at some definitions once more. Funny enough, the website, “differencebetween.com” puts it perfectly:

Using these two definitions, I believe STARRYUU is a space in which Knowledge will be shared, but the effects of this Knowledge on each person within STARRYUU will be where awareness comes in. If you know you’re a Manifestor in Human Design, because you have access to your chart there, and to the standard definition of what it means to be a Manifestor, this is the information or Knowledge you have received. If you are then able to connect this knowledge with how it shows up in your own life, then you have Awareness of what it’s like for you to be a Manifestor. I believe you can share that Awareness, and I encourage this sharing, but no one else can feel what it’s like to be you as that Manifestor.

I see Knowledge and Awareness are intrinsically tied, so in a way, they are a package deal when it comes to my Core Values. Knowledge is the cause and Awareness is the effect. However, everyone can collectively share knowledge, but the ownness of awareness is individual.

I know that by creating STARRYUU, certain types of knowledge will be both shared and absorbed, and the type of knowledge that is being shared and absorbed comes with social, collective, and personal implications that can’t be ignored.

The Not-Self in Human Design is a great example of this. Once you learn something like who you are not, it’s hard to go back to not knowing it. Once you have that knowledge about yourself, you do have a responsibility to do something with it—to become aware of it, to live in awareness of it, and to live your life as your authentic self, just Human Design shows you how to. If you ignore that responsibility, what happens? I’m a firm believer in things like the butterfly effect, that our actions have consequences that we may not ever know, but that our choices matter.

It’s sort of like one of the themes in The Celestine Prophecy — basically once we learn how to elevate ourselves to our highest most inner knowing and power, we impact everything around us, by how we then interact with other people, and with nature. The idea is that if enough of us transform into the highest versions of ourselves, eventually the world will collectively be living in its highest capacity. Choosing to do this work, instead of taking the easy way out and continuing on a path of existing patterns, is, as my friend Jordan who taught me about the book often says, “Celestine.” 

Knowledge with Responsibility is Individuation. It’s not ignoring your inner truths. It’s growing into them and affecting everything around you as you do.

Because STARRYUU is my company, I can implement Knowledge as a core value and directly tie it to responsibility. I sort of covered this in Part 1 where I asked if a company’s Core Values can be separate from their founder’s.

Let me explain all of this more deeply by outlining the types of knowledge that I believe STARRYUU will be facilitating.

1. Knowledge of the “now”

2. Knowledge of modern self-discovery modalities

3. Knowledge of the authentic self

4. Knowledge of experiences shared by others

5. Knowledge within my community

6. Knowledge outside of my community

7. Knowledge tied to responsibility

1. What do I mean by Knowledge of the Now?

Whenever I’m working on anything for STARRYUU, all I know is all that I know now. I talk a lot about Individuation without being an actual Jungian Analyst. I haven’t professionally been taught Jung’s work. I’ve read books and blogs here and there, which doesn’t mean I know everything. It means I don’t know everything. All I know is what I know right now. That “now” knowledge is informing every part of STARRYUU, and it’s also constantly changing. With each book I read, I am learning something else about Jungian psychology—I just learned that it’s called Analytical Psychology, as coined by Jung himself. With each guest I have on my podcast or post written by STARRYUU members, I’m learning something else about people, the Human Design system, and life. With each class I attend as I work toward becoming certified in the Star Matrix’s StarLine Therapy I learn more about how to help people through that modality. My life experiences contribute to my knowledge.

Everyone entering STARRYUU is coming in with their knowledge as well. Their knowledge differs from mine, and everyone else’s. Even if we have some shared knowledge, our experiences are different. Since STARRYUU is a social space, I encourage people to share their experiences and their knowledge, making STARRYUU a space for collective knowing. If someone is a Manifestor in Human Design and shares their experience, anyone in STARRYUUU can learn a bit more about what it’s like to be that Manifestor.

By better understanding ourselves, we can better understand each other and work toward the highest vibration of our society and our environment. We want the Knowledge of the Now to constantly change. Otherwise, we never change; change is all that is needed right now.

2. Knowledge of Modern Self Discovery Modalities

Starryuu is a space where multiple modalities exist that help people connect with their authentic selves. We’re constantly researching and studying these modalities (and new modalities) and adding to the knowledge base. The core of STARRYUU is to help people along their Individuation process, to familiarize them with the word, to share tools and resources to help them along their journey, to connect them with a community of people who are also going along their journey.

Right now, our current modalities are as follows:

• Human Design

• Star Matrix

• Tarot

• Dream Interpretation

Sidebar: Maybe you can tell by my face, if you’re watching the video recording of this post’s creation but just as I was writing this post I realized I don’t have a criteria setup for which modalities will be a part of STARRYUU, and which won’t. Right now the modalities listed are those that have helped me personally. I pulled from the knowledge I have of them, and am hoping others can also attain that knowledge.

Let’s see how the knowledge of each of these modalities helps people on their path of self-discovery. The main thing to remember is that a certain level of Knowledge is needed to understand how each system works.

HUMAN DESIGN

Human Design is a birth chart-based system that shows you how your energy works in relation to everything. Paired with the Gene Keys, you can see a lot of comprehensive information within your birth chart about the highest, lowest, and baseline forms of your specific energy blueprint. Knowing this information can help you along your Individuation in multiple ways. Learning Human Design also gives you knowledge about the modalities that it integrates like Astrology, the Chakras, the Kabbalah, etc while simultaneously delving into the conscious and unconscious parts of ourselves.

Core knowledge needed: Birth Chart elements and their definitions and meanings in relation to each other.

STAR MATRIX

Star Matrix is a fairly new modality, developed by energy healer, Silvia Hartmann. It’s centered around uncovering empowering memories from your life that changed you for the better, documenting those memories, and using them to see a full picture of who you are authentically. Because much of the self-exploration industry is centered around focusing on the negative, like traditional therapy, this modality brings a fresh perspective helping you to remember the good things that have happened. Because Individuation involves integrating all of the parts of you, Star Matrix offers a good look into possibly repressed knowledge through a lens of empowerment. It helps bring unconscious personal positive experiences that you had from your life into consciousness.

Core knowledge needed: The logistics of the system both on the client and facilitator sides, so you know how to uncover these moments, and what to do with them.

TAROT

Tarot is a tool that can help people see the truth in something when they may not want to see it. It’s hard to hide from the truth in a tarot reading, and this truth is essential to having full knowledge about yourself and any given situation in which you might find yourself. It feels to me like a mix of the shadows in Astrology and Human Design, and the Star Moments in the Star Matrix, or the highest energy form of Human Design elements. This is another tool that can help bring knowledge out of consciousness, but this time it is brought into physical reality through a card that you can hold and touch.

Core knowledge needed: The meanings of each card, how to treat the cards, and spread variations.

Dream Interpretation is perhaps the most organic and authentic tool for achieving what all of the other modalities achieve, simply because it’s inherent to our being. Dreams are not something that can be taught. It’s not something you have to learn how to do. It just happens. People can interpret dreams on their own without any prior knowledge other than inner knowledge based on how a dream felt, what or who appeared in it, what we remembered from it, etc. Dream Interpretation just goes a step further to dig into this knowledge and bring it further into consciousness/reality—however you want to define reality anyway.

Core knowledge needed: Meanings behind each element of a dream, whether assigned by you and for you, or pulled from collective knowledge.

STARRYUU hopes to provide many other tools resources, and knowledge to help people better connect with their authentic selves: from journal prompts and virtual tools to podcast conversations, 1:1 sessions, and so much more.

3. Knowledge of the Authentic Self

So what can you learn about yourself through these modalities?

HUMAN DESIGN

Through Human Design, you can learn how energy plays within and around you throughout your life. Just as with astrology, your HD birth chart doesn’t change. Instead, you can learn how the energies show up at their high and low points based on how you’re living your life and who you’re interacting with. You can learn how you best make decisions, what other energy types you work well with, what type of environment is best suited to your energy, how you digest information, your life purpose, and so much more.

STAR MATRIX

Perhaps you had a lot of trauma during one era of your life and you can’t remember anything positive from it. By working through StarLine Therapy, you can uncover one of these memories. In it, there is something for you to know; some knowledge from an experience you had, that your authentic self wants you to know once again, in that moment, and this knowledge is something you can take with you for the rest of your life.

TAROT

In comparison to all the other modalities, it seems tarot offers the most specific type of knowledge because the knowledge being applied is fluid. For example, as mentioned, your Human Design birth chart does not change throughout your life. You can study your chart and relate certain elements to any situation. However, with Tarot, you’re likely to pull a different card for every question you ask the cards, giving you seemingly endless knowledge, because you’ll never be in the same exact situation in the same exact time more than once.

DREAM INTERPRETATION

Maybe you dream about laptops and you were the inventor of the first-ever laptop. So your association with laptops is about innovation and success. You can learn that whenever you dream of laptops, maybe your subconscious is proud of you, or maybe the law of attraction is at play and you’ll be attaining more success soon, depending on what happens with the laptop in your dream, of course. If the laptop in your dream breaks, maybe it means that success no longer fulfills you. There is knowledge here about what your inner self wants to tell you.

4. Knowledge of Experiences Shared by Others

As previously mentioned, because STARRYUU is built on Circle, which is a social-first platform, I hope that people will share their learning and engage in conversation about their experiences. With Human Design, I’ve come to learn that being a Manifestor has its core themes, but I’ve also learned how different each Manifestor is from the next. Your Type isn’t the only thing impacting you. There are also your other chart elements like your Profile and your Activated Gates, just to name a few. There is also your own life experience. Just because I share the Manifestor type with someone else doesn’t mean we’ve experienced it the same way.

This is another element of Individuation. Classic definitions of the word Individuation are centered around becoming uniquely different than anything else. If Knowledge is as unique as each person, and then that unique Knowledge is applied to specific concepts like a Human Design Type, there is an infinite amount of knowledge to know. I hope that STARRYUU can be a place to document some of it.

That “some of it” is data related to the process of Individuation.

STARRYUU is inherently a space for sharing Knowledge. (And if you know anything about Human Design, it was built by me, a 5th line so it should all make sense to you now.)

5. Knowledge Within STARRYUU

This brings me to the difference between knowledge within STARRYUU and knowledge outside of STARRYUU. It also harkens back to the Knowledge of the Now. I spent a long time researching the topic of Human Design without paying to learn from the International Human Design School. The main reason was I just didn’t/don’t have the budget to do so. I scoured the internet absorbing as much free information as I could, which, yes was a lot, and it’s been years since I started. Everyone says, about Human Design, that you could study it for your entire life and still not know everything. So, for as much as I do know, there’s a lot I still don’t.

If we look at STARRUU in parallel, it’s a space with a lot of Knowledge, yes, but not everything. And there’s a lot of Knowledge that lives outside of the space. It’s interesting to know that STARRYUU will never house all Knowledge and that the Knowledge that it will house will be limited to the experiences of the people who contribute to it.

6. Knowledge Outside of STARRYUU

There will always be Knowledge outside of STARRYUU, and I want people to feel encouraged to go find it. One of my favorite things to remind people is to Diversify their Knowledge. Don’t limit your Knowledge of Human Design to STARRYUU or its members, or to one blog you found, and if you find something interesting, share it with those inside of STARRYUU who may not know about it, or share it with your friends, or on your social media. The more people who have access to this type of Knowledge surrounding Individuation, the better. C’mon! It’ll be Celestine. This will soon lead me to my next Core Value: Contribution.

But, first!

7. Knowledge Tied to Responsibility

If you learn that microwaving lemons is an easy way to clean the microwave, isn’t that something you’d want to let everyone know? Being a Line 5 and with my Saturn in Sagittarius, I assume everyone has this urge to want to constantly attain knowledge, and share their experiences with the world, but I know it’s not true. The way I see it, I as STARRYUU’s founder, and in turn, STARRYUU have to bear the responsibility of sharing as much as we can without limitation. For example, there are some Incarnation Crosses that sound ruthless. Will I hide them from STARRYUU to prevent an upset? No. I have a responsibility to share the full picture to the best of my ability with STARRYUU members.

I also have a responsibility to society to not gate-keep this information or hold it for my gain. If the goal is to raise the energy vibration of the planet, I cannot hold back with my uncovering and sharing of Knowledge.

I ask that my members understand this responsibility.

It also comes back to a responsibility I mentioned before which is the responsibility of self-discovery and what one does with these discoveries, and the choice to live, or not, as your authentic self to fulfill your true life purpose. It’s not a responsibility that comes easily. Sometimes it’s easier to ignore it all. STARRYUU exists to make it a little easier, more interesting, more fun, and more social, to Individuate into the person you are here to be.

What I’m trying to say is that with Knowledge comes Power. I can choose to use that power for good or for evil, and by writing this post, I am choosing for good and holding myself accountable to it.
