Was Cher Horowitz a 6/2 or 1/3 Projector?
Behind the Social Post: Rectifying a Beverly Hills human design birth chart.

Introduction
Experts in birth chart based systems like Human Design and Astrology will often use celebrity charts as examples for different elements of that system. This is because it’s super easy to understand the characteristics of a certain Sun sign or Moon sign if you’re familiar with the person whose chart is in question.
Since I’m not an officially trained Human Design reader or Astrologist, my use for celebrity charts is a bit different.
I wanted an easy way for prospective STARRYUU members to quickly understand how to input their birth information when signing up for the platform. I decided that I wanted to create a social post showing the birth information entry section of my website, via a screen recorded video of me entering someone’s birth information. I tested out this concept with my own birth information, but it was so boring!
I’ve seen plenty of celebrity birth charts in blogs by readers and experts and thought it was a really smart way to get the job done. I even had a celebrity—actually, a character—in mind. She’s someone who a lot of people are really really familiar with, so it could be eye catching to see her birth information and name entered into a sign up form while scrolling through your feed, no? (It would at least be more interesting than seeing mine.)
That character? Cher Horowitz.
But, being a character and not a real person, Cher’s exact birth information was totally unclear.
What was I to do?
Creating the Social Content You Want vs What the Algorithm Wants
At the time of writing this newsletter, STARRYUU social media has a combined number of followers that is below 200. Abysmal, in an age where your social following is basically your currency. You wouldn’t know it, but there was a time early in my career when social media was my expertise. Times have changed since 2011 and the social media landscape is not as obvious as it once was. Sure, there are some tactics that still reign true, if they are rooted in marketing common sense, like: know your audience. However, with the implementation of algorithms and AI, it feels almost impossible to crack the code of virality.
Use trending sounds
Post three times a day
Create the content in the apps and not externally
Use captions
Have an insane amount of scene cuts per video
There was a popular sentiment among my social-media-manager peers in the mid 2000s that I still sometimes believe in: People who say they know how to do it are lying.
It feels like no matter what you do, you’re bound to get stuck in 200-plays hell, unless you truly dedicate yourself to experimentation. While I am dedicated to STARRYUU 40 hours a week, 100% of that can’t be spent on social media, since I’m a one woman show. The only real rule I have for myself is to try to post every day and to experiment with different times of day and different types of content.
Forgoing the opportunity to write this newsletter, nail down my business plan, cast birth charts, study STARRYUU’s modalities, and other fun CEO-duties, in order to dedicate more time to social media is just not something I want to do.
So I only create social content I enjoy (and hope you enjoy it too).
That’s why I’ve posted a screen-recorded video of Cher Horowitz supposedly signing up for STARRYUU. That’s also why I’m writing this newsletter explaining more about the post—because I want to.
In order to create my IG and TikTok post, I needed to know Cher’s birthday.
When is Cher Horowitz’s Birthday?
Is there any character across film or TV whose birthday details (meaning, date, location, and time) are fully laid out for the audience? I can’t think of any (and if you know of any, please send!), but we at least know for a fact that Cher Horowitz was born in April, because there’s a scene where she actually mentions it to Tai.
TAI:
I met a really cool guy.
CHER:
Describe!
TAI:
Alright, he's got long hair, he's really funny, and straight off, right? He offers me some smoke. There he is!
CHER
Are you talking about drugs?
TAI
Yeah.
CHER
Tai, how old are you?
TAI
I'll be sixteen in May.
CHER
My birthday is in April, and as someone older, can I please give you some advice? (Tai nods) It is one thing to spark up a doobie and get laced at parties, but it is quite another to be fried all day.
However, there is no mention throughout the film of the time of day or date when she was born. According to the Cher Horowitz Paramount Fandom, her birthday is April 22, 1979. I have no idea from where this information was gathered, but her birth year is likely assumed from the fact that Clueless was released in 1995 and portrays its respective “present day.“ Since Cher is 15/16 in the movie, 1979 makes sense. As for April 22, we’re just going to go with it. Being a Taurus myself, I do think Cher evokes many Taurean qualities, so I can at least agree with that.
In terms of birth location, we can definitely safely assume Cher was born (and probably died) in Beverly Hills, but when it comes to birth time we are absolutely clueless (sorry I had to). So, with the birth time as our variable, we can begin to input and test outcomes.
This process is called rectification.
What is a Birth Chart Rectification Process?
In the Rectification process, a Human Design reader or Astrologist will take whatever combination of information they have about the person’s birth date and input it into a birth chart calculation platform. From there, it’s a bit of a guessing/matching game.
The reader will plug in different variables, such as varying birth times to see how they impact different elements in the chart. The process can be quite intensive and therefore can be quite expensive. Of course, there’s no way to know the accuracy of the results, but a successful rectification is usually tied to how closely the data aligns with the actual person’s life experience.
For example, if one version of the rectified chart says the person’s Sun Sign is Aries and another says Taurus, the person might easily be able to say they identify much more with being a Taurus than an Aries, or vice versa. The Sun Sign, combined with any other chart information that might change by the minute, or hour, or day, can point to hints about the birth date, time, and location’s accuracy.
I actually once inputted the wrong birth information across various birth-chart based apps for my own birth time, and was shocked by the difference in results when I eventually found and inputted the correct information. I wrote about it in an old newsletter here.
What is is Cher Horowitz’s Human Design?
When it comes to the birth chart of Cher Horowitz, I was really only missing the birth time, which is needed to cast a chart. It actually made for an insanely fun experiment. I was limited to just the changes that might occur in a chart over one day, albeit, that’s still a lot of information to pore through, but I was up for the challenge.
I started out by randomly choosing 10:26 AM as Cher’s birth time and here was the result:

This screenshot is taken from inside of our app! We DM everyone their Birth Chart where it lives for safe keeping to access anytime you find yourself at a party and someone is asking you what your Type is. All of your Birth Chart information is clickable and brings you to conversations about those elements of your chart :)
It’s so interesting that in this version of Cher’s chart, the only energy centers that are defined are the Head and Ajna, since we all know Cher’s main character trait is also the name of the film! We’ll get into the energy centers later.
First: Dissecting Cher’s Big 3 (Type, Profile, Inner Authority) + Incarnation Cross provides even more interesting insight as to whether or not this birth time reflects her true authenticity.
Cher Horowitz’ is a 1/3 (Investigator-Martyr) Profile
Cher seems to have a lot of knowledge for a 16 year-old: from knowing that you always have something baking when a boy comes over, to knowing what to do with a flannel shirt that doesn’t quite look right. It’s from likely her own experience of researching what to do, and then trying it out, that she gained this wisdom to share with others.
Cher Horowitz’ is a Projector Type
Cher being a 1/3 Profile leads perfectly into her type as a Projector. All of this first-hand knowledge can be used as a guidance for others. And Cher does provide guidance—for Dionne, Josh, her teachers, and Tai—the latter two in the form of makeovers. It’s interesting that Cher runs into issues after completing Tai’s makeover (Tai becomes super confident and starts to flirt with Josh who Cher eventually realizes she likes). Could it be because Cher wasn’t invited by Tai to give her the makeover, as is the Strategy of a Projector? Either way, this is one of the turning points that leads Cher to her own personal breakthrough.
Cher knows herself very well. She has an answer for everything. She knows stuff. She talks to Josh, and Dionne, and even Elton, and Tai, and her dad—but she doesn’t ask them for advice, she rarely even seems to need advice. Her conversations with these people who she trusts seem to help her connect better to what she already knew about herself. Not only that, but this authority is very rooted in the person’s environment—Cher’s being high school, in the ‘90s, in Beverly Hills. So, that’s what Cher is: the epitome of high school, in the ‘90s, in Beverly Hills. If the writers had placed her in high school in the ‘90s in New York City, her portrayal would have been slightly different.
Cher’s Incarnation Cross: Right Angle Cross of the Unexpected
Right Angle crosses being about personal destiny, and the Cross of the Unexpected being about, well, the unexpected, let’s take a look at some of the scenes in Clueless that support its main character finding their purpose through the shocking events. But first, it’s worth mentioning Cher’s RAX Unexpected variation: 27/28 | 41/31 (Conscious Sun/Earth | Unconscious Sun/Earth). Different sources will tell you different things, but seeing as this is also my Incarnation Cross, right down to the iteration (sun/earth combinations), I have summarized it in this way:
Being in the right place attracts the unexpected toward me, and surprises other people (sometimes myself, too). I don't do things for shock value. I follow my strategy and authority and the results inherently impact those around me. The unexpected can bring about much needed change.
So, what unexpected things happen around Cher?
She falls in love with someone who is not only not her type, but also her older step brother
Her new friend Tai seemingly takes her man (Josh)
She gets robbed
A boy doesn’t like her for once
Her mother dies
She’s actually smart and people are shooketh
Now, onto her energy centers…
Cher’s Defined Head Center
She has an answer for everything. She knows stuff. For the most part, she has no doubts.
Cher’s Defined Ajna Center
Her process for processing can’t be influenced by anyone.
Cher’s Undefined Throat Center
She constantly needs attention, which might lead to “felt cute, might delete later” syndrome.
Cher’s Undefined G Center
She is obsessed with who she is and feels the need to label herself in a certain way.
Cher’s Undefined Heart
She’s trying to prove herself to Christian by doing things that might not actually be aligned for her.
Cher’s Undefined Solar Plexus
She’s Avoiding the truth.
Cher’s Undefined Sacral
She doesn’t know when enough is enough.
Cher’s Undefined Root
She absorbed the stress of everyone around her so much that
“Even Fabian, my masseuse, said I had a lot of tension in my back”
Cher’s Undefined Splenic
She shops to feel secure.
The Rectification Process: How Many Variables and Who is Interpreting? Things to Consider.
Now that I had one version of Cher’s chart based on a randomly selected birth time, I had to run her chart again multiple times with different time variables in order to see what would change throughout the 24-hour period. I was actually pretty happy with the above result, so if something was going to change, it would have to be really relevant.
How Much Data Is Being Reviewed?
There are a few ways to go about the actual rectification process.
Here’s how I do it:
I offer two different tiers: basic and advanced. Basic takes less time as less variables are reviewed and Advanced aims to cast a complete chart and is quite time consuming. As taken from this service on the STARRYUU website:
This will be a collaboration between the two of us. I will work with my BodyGraph software and your birth date and location to compile a data set that includes the different variables for various elements your chart. I will then craft a custom survey based on the data set that you will answer to help us figure out which variables most align with your life.
You will input your birth data on our website so we can begin the chart casting process. For your birth time, you will enter a time you guess might be closest to your birth time, or choose a random time for us to start with if you don't have a clue!
However since Cher isn’t a real person who needs her chart rectified and since I was just doing this for fun, I went with my lower tier option. It’s not to say that I wouldn’t enjoy doing a deeper dive into this, I would. LOL, but for the sake of you, dear reader, I’ll keep it to a minimum. (She says as she’s 1500 words in).
Who is Reviewing the Data?
Another thing to consider is who is interpreting all of this data. Anyone else rectifying Cher’s chart might have a totally different perspective on whether or not she feels like a 1/3 Mental Projector.
If you’re given a set of data and you’re forced to apply it to something, there’s always a way to do it. I believe what’s most important for chart rectification is that ultimately the person whose chart it is should feel more resonance than the interpreter/rectifier’s. It’s also important to note that even when people have their exact birth time they may feel that their chart still doesn’t resonate, and that’s okay.
Since we can’t actually ask Cher if any of this resonates with her, we’re just reviewing this through my personal interpretation, and you might totally disagree. I welcome that 🙂 Please share your thoughts with me somewhere!
This is one of the beautiful and intentional things about STARRYUU—we don’t claim to be experts and our entire platform is rooted in community contribution. We invite conversation, especially when it’s an opportunity for people to share their actual lived experience. That’s why I call the rectification process a collaboration.
We do agree that experts can help you make sense of your chart and help connect the dots with Human Design because there is a lot to know about how everything works together. There are tons of incredible readers out there, and we hope you find the one that most suits your needs. We also encourage people to diversify their research because interpretations vary by whose interpreting, as already mentioned! We just hope to provide you with the tools to interpret you for yourself.
What Does the Data Mean for the Person Who Owns the Chart?
Throw the actual person whose chart is in question into the mix (the real expert) and they might be able to tell you that they don’t constantly need attention at all.
From there, the question becomes: Is that how they perceive themselves? Or is it actually true? Are they living from a Not-Self / Conditioned place, or are they self-aware and truly tapped into their authenticity?
When rectifying, and when studying any system in general, it’s important to balance what you know about yourself with what the system is telling you. It doesn’t have to resonate with you, you don’t have to agree with it, and you don’t have to believe in it or live your life by it. All of that is your choice and we support healthy boundaries with any system.
If You Know Your Birth Time: You’re Lucky!
Even those of us who know our birth time might not even have it right. Was the time documented the literal split second we came out of the womb, or could it have been few moments later? How much of our physical body was exposed to this then-new place where all the freaky creatures exclaimed “Welcome!”, and how much wasn’t?
And if you do know your birth time, or even close to it, you’re actually quite lucky. There are many people who don’t know their birth time at all.
Cher Horowitz’ Rectification Data: 6/2 or 1/3 Projector?
Without further ado, I present you with a mini version of Cher Horowitz Human Design birth chart rectification data using a Notion database as you’ll see in the screenshot below. Your data would be presented in a similar way in STARRYUU rectification services. I leave it up to the the person to decide whether or not they want access to all of the data.
As you can see, I only have two entries, even though there are 24 hours in a day, and I could have entered in the data for each hour, but I chose the basic option for Cher. This is why you’ll also notice that I’ve only listed her 🌟5🌟 main birth chart elements:
Type
Profile
Inner Authority
Defined/UnDefined Energy Centers
Incarnation Cross

I performed the task of submitting the data with different 1-hour increments over the 24 hour period of April 22 1979—Beverly Hills, CA. Without looking too much at the nitty gritty of her chart, the main information that I chose to focus on stayed the same for most of the day. It wasn’t until exactly between 9:46 and 9:47AM that the big stuff changed:
Cher went from being a 6/2 Emotional Projector with the Left Angle Cross of Wishes and Head, Ajna, Solar Plexus and Heart Energy Centers defined to a 1/3 Mental Projector with a Right Angle Cross of the Unexpected Incarnation Cross, and only Head and Ajna defined.
Let’s take a look at the differences between the new data and the data from my first analysis (which used the randomly selected 10:26AM birth time). By the way, anything that was defined in both charts still stands and isn’t worth repeating.
Cher’s Alternate Profile: 6/2
This new Profile is centered around 3 different eras in one’s life. For that sole purpose, I think it’s really hard to predict what the future of Cher Horowitz would be. If we will be lucky enough to experience Clueless 2-3, 30 and 60 years down the line respectively, what would she be doing in adulthood? Will she follow in her father’s footsteps and become a successful litigator? Will she open her own mall? Will she become a matchmaker? Either way, a 6/2 Profile would make the most sense if:
The first era of Cher’s life is one of exploration (trying out different ways to use her skills but not necessarily becoming successful in them)
The second is centered around taking a break while learning from others how to be successful in that skill
The third is about using that skill to help others.
IDK. The 1/3 just hits harder for me for Cher.
*For several hours Cher is also a 6/3 profile, which runs us into the same problem.
Does Cher make decisions more-so by riding an emotional wave of ups and downs, before coming to place of calm and choosing a direction from there? Or, does she consult with those closest to her and then think on it before making the decision herself? I think the Mental authority is more accurate for Cher.
Cher’s Alternate Incarnation Cross: Left Angle Cross of Wishes
Up until this point, everything in the originally casted chart felt so right for Cher. But the LAX of Wishes is centered around doing something about outdated laws that no longer make sense. People with this IC are said to be here to handle the consequences that may come of taking action against these old laws in order for that person to be able to improve things. Cher could definitely do this! Don’t forget she grew up with lawyer father! Also, her unique perspective on the world could be seen as a way of updating outdated thinking.
Cher’s Alternate Defined Centers: Solar Plexus & Heart
Solar Plexus—This energy center being defined goes back to the emotional inner authority. Is this how we believe Cher moves through the world—a series of highs and lows with breaks of calm?
Heart Center—A defined heart center can mean the person exudes confidence and backs it up by their actions. I would definitely say Cher does this. We already touched upon the fact that Cher is pretty sure of herself when we referenced her Head Center being defined in her original chart. However, this center being defined includes the follow through with what she does with that confidence. It’s only when she starts to question her crushes’ affinity for her that she starts to doubt herself, and in the end the reason she even doubted them in the first place is because she really liked someone who wasn’t her type, and was her step brother, Josh.
So, there you have it—two options for a birth chart for Cher Horowitz—birth time unknown.
What do you think resonates most with Cher?
